What We Believe
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and there is no salvation outside of what is taught in its pages according to II Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:5) and He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), the son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit). Those three titles are covered by one name, Jesus Christ. The name of the father (St John 5:43), the name of the son (Matthew 1:21), and the name of the Holy Ghost (St. John 14:26).
Salvation is the deliverance from all sin and unrighteousness through the blood of Jesus Christ. The plan of salvation is found in Acts 2:38 when Peter addresses the audience who gathered during the day of Pentecost, "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." There are three steps to the plan of salvation: 1) Repentance - a complete change of mind towards sin and its consequences, 2) Water Baptism in Jesus' Name (Galatians 3:27) by total immersion, and 3) Receiving the Gift/Baptism of the Holy Ghost and Speaking in Tongues (Acts 2:4).
The doctrine that Jesus handed down to his apostles is for us today, so we are an Apostolic Church. The Holy Ghost that was poured out at Pentecost is for us today, so we are a Pentecostal Church.Love for God and our fellow man propels us to action so we are Apostolic Ministries in Action.
